Part of the Banff / Lake Louise / Mt Norquay ski region, Sunshine Village is a ski holiday resort that is located in some of the dramatic scenery in Canada.
Intermediate skiers have the greatest selection of ski terrain but advanced skiers also do well, as do beginners, with around 25% of the ski pistes. Heli skiing is on offer in the region, for advanced skiers seeking the best off-piste skiing.
The resort of Sunshine Village dates back to the early 20th century and much has been done to maintain the harmony with the natural surroundings. Après ski in Sunshine Village is very quiet, with only one resort hotel located in Sunshine Village. A bus is laid on during the winter that tours the best of the bars in the area surrounding Sunshine Village.
